KFC gets weird with Wieden+Kennedy

Davy assisted director Nick ‘Smearballs’ DenBoer in creating multiple animated KFC projects for the Wieden+Kennedy agency. “KFC COMFORT ZONE” was a 10 minute hypnotic fried chicken meditation video which bears coincidental resemblance to Davy’s underground KFC hypno-video from 2000, “Hypno Chicken 2000“. After the Toronto shoot, the production operated as an old-fashioned animation jam with these frequent collaborators holed up at Nick’s Smearballs Studios Toronto along with editor Tyler Grace and offsite animator wunderkind Octane Jesus to smash out an extended length video on a compressed schedule.

“KFC Comfort Zone” is a mesmerizing chicken pot pie experience.
