MUTATO MUZIKA – 2010 DVD Intro

I’ve done 4 of these animated DVD openers over the years for Mark Mothersbaugh and his Mutato Musika music studio.  They have all been a super blast to do we and have always used Mark’s family pets- pugs Finster and Phoebe.  This one ended up for some reason involving a pancake.

This one was a remix of the three previous ones and even includes a low res animutated Mark which was from the orig piece we did in 2001 or so…

DJ VICE – @ VSquared Labs

Designed/Animated on this visuals package along with fellow animators Carlo Sa and Josh Cruz at VSquared Labs, project directed by Vello Virkhaus. On this edit, I did the animated photo cockpits and plane exteriors, the dark shiny vice 3D logos, the infinite photograph zooms and the 3D wireframe airports. Edit by Josh Cruz.

DEVO – DON’T SHOOT

Sync live visuals piece to support DEVO’s “Something for Everyone” Album and Tour.

Co-Directed with Jerry Casale from DEVO.  Shot live-action with Thumb War crew/studio.  By total coincidence, Paul Gobel from “Duelin’ Firemen” had been cast as the riot cop.  Created “3D” animation all in After Effects, and did at least ten shots on a laptop while vacationing apres ski style in the Sierra Mountains.
