Davy Force & Nick DenBoer Freak Out Hollywood

Davy Force & Nick DenBoer’s “The Chickening” takes Hollywood by storm.

In 2016, Director/animators Davy Force and Nick DenBoer combined forces to create a proof of concept pitch for a television show. The pitch video was leaked and the 5 minute demo ended up the darling of the weird side of the Toronto and Sundance film fests, which then launched its grand tour in over 20 film festivals around the world.

“The Chickening” was birthed during a week long creative session of the two long distance collaborators when they converged at Nick’s Smearballs studios in Toronto for an epic creative power week. The project took about 2 and a half months to complete, with the production split between Davy’s Los Angeles and Nick’s Toronto studios.

The mission was to replace 50% of the films original image.

Actor Tim Beresford was filmed in multiple roles to replace the film’s dialogue.
The story centers around Jack getting a job at a Chicken Restaurant resort.
